Poggio al Tempio 2010, Sangiovese blend, IGT Toscana
80% Sangiovese, 20% indigenous varieties. Microxygenation for about 6 months during barrel ageing. Lively ruby red colour, intense red fruits odour scented with violets; fresh and fruity in flavour. Just outside the Chianti region, near Arezzo, thus an IGT, this would command a considerably higher price if it were a few miles down the road!
